Pacific Material Destruction was formally a department of Pacific Metals Ltd which had a proud history of 112 years of service in metal recycling and material destruction services in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Pacific Materials Destruction was purchased by Urban Impact in 2024. Urban Impact has more than 30 years of experience in related product destruction services.

Brand owners have a variety of products in inventory that are ready for distribution to their important customers and markets. On occasion, beverages may become stale-dated or not marketable for a wide variety of reasons, including date of manufacture, stale-dated product, incorrectly stored, and damaged product. When the product cannot be sold, many brand owners may require the product to be destroyed.
In July 2024, Pacific Metals Ltd. announced that they had sold their operating businesses. Pacific Materials Destruction, part of the Urban Impact family of companies, purchased the product destruction division from Pacific Metals.
